In the beginning of November we set out. It started with a long 16 hour drive down to south. To our amazement we were actually travelling west for the majority of the trip. We drove down across two days. With a record 6 minute border crossing we were well ahead of schedule on the first day. With only one missed exit we arrived just after 4:00 pm the next day.
As we settled in to our condo, Grandma and Grandpa brought over some supper for us all to enjoy. Grandma and Grandpa were already in Myrtle Beach for a couple of days. They had rented a condo for the month of November close by.
After a short first night’s sleep and an early wake up from Kate, the sunrise was there to greet us.
As you can see everyone was happy to be at our desintation.
We spent a couple of nice days on the beach right outside our condo. The dolphins would swim by every day. And Kate really liked playing in the tidal pools. Samantha and Michael enjoyed building sand castles and playing in the waves.

On another day we went to Alligator Adventure. At first we thought it would just be a few alligators and we would be done. But they had every alligator and crocodile known to man as well as reptiles, turtles, tigers, wolves, birds and snakes. It kept us busy for quite a while. There were even shows where you could touch an alligator, lizard and snake.

Kate and Sandra ended up being the bravest of them all, touching the snake without any help.
Oh and did I mention we have about three feet of snow outside.

Looks like you had a great time.
That sure was brave of Kate to ride that large aligator.
Looking at all the snow outside, that beach sure looks inviting.
